Dan is going in for ureter lithotripsy next week. He's got stubborn kidney stones that, instead of passing, went back up into his kidney. Not looking forward to hearing the pain when he urinates.
I've managed to maintain a lower blood pressure reading twice a day at home. I'll find out how accurate my monitor is when I go Tuesday for an appointment with the diabetes doctor.
My blood sugars don't like me, they keep going up instead of going down. Yeah I know, cut out the carbs and sugar and I should be fine BUT that doesn't explain how last night it was 106 but when I woke up this morning it was 150!! I had to increase my Metformin from 1000mg daily to 2000mg daily. There were a few days where I would forget to take the second dose and as soon as I ate something high carb/sugar, my body retaliated!
I've managed to lose a few pounds but I'm sure I'll find them this weekend at the Santa Barbara French Festival. I need to find an evening walking buddy.
Oh, and there's another bun in the oven. I know I should keep it under wraps but I want to shout it out from the rooftop! I'm very excited, nervous, scared, freaked out ... Everything that a mom-to-be feels but I also have that huge "what if" cloud hanging over my head. I don't want to think about the possibility of another loss but it's there, always nagging me. Not sure when, or if, I will make the "official" announcement on Facebook so if you know my family, keep it hush ;)
